Mark has worked in the advertising and marketing industry a sum total of 42 years. Responsible for Brightfield’s branding efforts, he leads the creative process from positioning to web content to logo design; translating the science of the business into the essence of the brand. Prior to joining Brightfield in 2010, Mark spent 4 years at Y&R creating TV, print and internet ads for Accenture. His efforts featured Tiger Woods and subsequently a surfing elephant. Previous to that, he spent 15 years at BBDO. Joining the agency in ‘79 as a copywriter on GE, Wrigley and Gillette, he was promoted to creative supervisor before leaving in ‘84 to join D’arcy, Masius, Benton and Bowles on P&G. In ‘96, Mark returned to BBDO as a SVP, Creative Director where he developed campaigns for Bayer, Best Foods, Schering-Plough and Campbell’s until August ’06. Mark boasts extensive package good and pharmaceutical experience; taking the pain reliever Aleve from prescription product to national brand 6 years later and relaunching the allergy medicine Nasonex with an animated campaign featuring Antonio Banderas as a bee allergic to pollen.
